Former Tata Steel Senior Officer Ashish Ranjan Appointed CTO of Microsoft

Dhanbad,  Mar 7: Ex senior officer of Tata Steel and  an alumnus of  IIT (ISM) Ashish Narayan has become Chief Technology Officer  (CTO) of Microsoft Innovation Hub at Wipro.

Ashish Ranjan, the 1993-97 batch B. Tech student of IIT ISM Dhanbad prior to this position, he served as the Chief Architect for Cloud Migration and Modernization at Wipro,

Ashish Narayan began his professional journey at Tata Steel, serving as a senior officer in mechanical and electrical maintenance management from July 1997 to December 1999.

He played a pivotal role in driving multi-cloud adoption, General AI, GreenOps, and the well-architected framework.

Over the years, he has held various prominent positions, including senior software engineer at Provillage Softwares Pvt Ltd (April 2000 – December 2001),  software engineer at eSpark Infotech (January 2002 – June 2002) , member technical staff at HCL Technologies (June 2002 – May 2004), senior member technical staff at Oracle (June 2004 – April 2006) , Various positions at Wipro Limited (April 2006 – January 2017), senior leadership roles at Wells Fargo (January 2017 – October 2021), rejoining Wipro in October 2021.

Narayan got Wipro Applied Innovation Awards in July 2006. He was also honored as the Best QA Transition Architect in May 2012 and received the Best Retail Architect Award in January 2013.
