Jamshedpur: Madrasi Sammelani celebrated Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana to commemorate the birth anniversary of renowned Carnatic songs composer by organizing a music concert at its premises on Sunday.
The event commenced with lighting of traditional lamp. Later on local artists comprising of V Natarajan, Priya Nagarajan, Mangathayaru, Hamsa Murali, Shailaja, Vani Subbaraman, Shruti. They were accompanied by Subbalakshmi on Violin, T Ishwar Rao on Mrudangam, Venkatraman on Kanjira and Master Anand also on Mrudangam.
The vocal artists rendered the famous Pancharatna Kritis penned by Thyagaraja. The songs include Sri Ganapati Sevimpurave, Jagadananda, Dudugu gala, Sadhinchini, Kanakamaruchira, Endaro Mahanubhavulu.
G Rammurti, Chairman, Board of Trustees, G Shankar, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, B Chandrashekhar, ex Chairman, Board of Trustees, J Suresh, President, Natarajan Siva, Vice President, V Nagarajan, Secretary, S Ramesh, Subramanyam, Committee Member of Madrasi Sammelani were present on the occasion. The program was well received by the audience.
