Jamshedpur: Vivekananda International School, Mango celebrated its annual day with fanfare in the school premises on Sunday. Chief Guest for the occasion was state food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy. Guest of Honour was Swami Karunamaynandi Maharaj and Mukhtar Alam Khan.
School students put up impressive performance which was appreciated by all and the students were also felicitated. The cultural event began with Bengali dance. Nukkad Natak ‘Beti Bachao’ aimed at giving stern message to the society. Later, Qawwali, songs, patriotic songs and dance events were presented.

On the occasion School Principal Dr Nidhi Srivastav presented the school annual report in presnce of RM Prasad, Deepal Srivastav, Juhi Samarpita, Anjani Sahay, Jaspal, Ratna Bhattacharya, Aparna Sant Singh and others. Addressing the gathering, Saryu Roy, said, the school has been running in the name of Swami Vivekananda and it was Swami Vivekananda who first taught the importance of yoga.
He asked the students to inculcate the teachings of Swami Vivekananda in their lives and walk on the path laid down by Swami. He urged the students to never forget their roots and culture along with education. Guests on the occasion also felicitated students of nursery till class 9.
