Madrasi Sammelani hosts cultural dance event on I-Day

Jamshedpur, August 17: Marking the 69th Independence Day, the Madrasi Sammelani organized a grand dance programme on Saturday evening.

The dance items were put up by the Angik Dance group of Baradwari. The event was attended by a huge crowd of Sammelani’s members, parents & family members of performers.

The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Gauri Siva, Lakshmi Varadarajan, Jayanti Ramamurthy and Bharti Banerjee (director of Aangik Dance Group).

The event displayed various cultural dance forms from all corners of the nation and dances on several patriotic tunes that mesmerised the audience.

Anamika, Megha, Sanchita, Priya, Ruchi, Anushka, Pritika, Sonal, Ritika, Diksha, Sukanya, Puja, Simran and Arnisha were among the few whose performance was praiseworthy.

Uday Chandravanshi brought life to the event with his inimitable style of engaging with the audience.

At the end, chairman of the Madrasi Sammelani B.Chandrashekhar honoured the performers and the dance group for their performance. S.Ramesh proposed the vote of thanks.

On the occasion, board members of the Sammelani V.Natarajan, K.S.Narayan, M.S.V.Siva, and J.Suresh along with their families were present.
