Jamshedpur: From the green campus of Loyola School to the power corridors of Washington DC, the journey of Jamshedpur-born Abhijoy Gandhi is a tale of grit, vision, and achievement. The corporate leader-turned-author is once again in the spotlight with his new book “A New Corporate Mantra: The Playbook for Organizational Success.”
Back in his hometown to celebrate the book’s success, Gandhi described the visit as a deeply personal homecoming. “I love to be back in my birthplace. Jamshedpur is a place I always look forward to returning to. My book is getting rave reviews, and I wanted to share this success with my parents,” he said.
The son of Dr K M Gandhi, former head of surgery at Tata Main Hospital, and OBGYN Dr Sunetra Gandhi, Abhijoy credits his value-based education at Loyola School—where he served as School President—as the foundation for his life’s journey.
Today, Gandhi is the CEO of Glue Inc, a Greylock Partners-funded startup headquartered in Seattle that is building the world’s largest AI-powered wellness platform. With engineering hubs in Pune and Bangalore, Glue aims to deliver wellness and happiness to 165 million corporate employees worldwide. Forbes recently recognized it as one of India’s 200 hottest startups.
His career path reflects both versatility and ambition: from a McKinsey strategy consultant to leadership roles at Lehman Brothers, Wells Fargo, and SunTrust Banks. A Wharton MBA and Joseph Wharton Scholar, Gandhi has also seen his entrepreneurial ventures feature in the Inc. list of America’s fastest-growing companies.
“Though based in the USA, I make sure to balance Janmabhoomi with Karmabhoomi, ensuring both nations continue to pool resources and work for the common good of the free world,” he said. As a member of FMC—the premier bipartisan nonprofit that engages both former and current U.S. Members of Congress—he contributes to shaping dialogue on issues such as energy, global trade, international security, transportation policy, and critical minerals for advancing AI. The FMC also educates the public about U.S. representative democracy, public service, and the role of Congress as an institution.
When not shuttling between Seattle and Washington DC, Gandhi finds peace in Atlanta with his wife, Ms Universe Mpule, their three children—SJ, Aeon, and Aina—and Orion, the family dog.
But it is his new book that has caught the imagination of readers worldwide. Positioned as a no-nonsense guide for millennials and Gen Z professionals, A New Corporate Mantra blends insights from 50 corporate leaders with Gandhi’s own witty, relatable, and razor-sharp perspectives. Covering everything from navigating office politics to making bold career moves, the book is billed as a roadmap for thriving—not just surviving—in today’s corporate jungle.
Packed with anecdotes, practical advice, and straight talk, Gandhi’s playbook seeks to empower readers to redefine success in the fast-paced world of modern work.
