Jamshedpur: Loyola School, Telco, has brought laurels to the city with its stellar performance at the CISCE National Boxing Tournament 2025, held at Christ Church Diocesan High School, Jabalpur, from 18–20 September. The championship saw the participation of 376 boxers from nine CISCE regions across India.
Five boxers represented Loyola School, showcasing remarkable determination and skill. In the U-14 Girls category, Nishu Orson clinched the Gold Medal in the 24–26 kg weight class, while Koushiki Kumari won Silver in the 42–46 kg category. Among the U-14 Boys, Shaan Murmu secured Gold in the 38–40 kg division, and Imon Mitra earned Bronze in the 44–46 kg class. In the U-17 Girls division, Sambhabhi Mishra won Silver in the 66–70 kg weight category.

A proud highlight emerged when Shaan Murmu was selected to represent at the prestigious School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Tournament—an achievement marking a milestone in his sporting journey.
The students’ success reflected not only their grit and discipline but also the guidance of their coach, Kartik Mahto. The school community, including Principal Charanjeet Ohson, Administrator Fr. Gerry and Coordinators Reshma Rodrigues, Zeenat Maria and Colleen Francis extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winners.
This achievement demonstrated Loyola School’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a sporting spirit that shone at the national level.
