Jamshedpur, June 25: Students of Loyola School, Telco and Loyola School, Bistupur delivered an impressive performance at the 7th CISCE Zonal Under-19 Chess Tournament, earning accolades and bringing pride to their institutions. Competing against some of the finest young chess players in the region, the Loyola participants displayed exceptional skill, discipline and strategic thinking throughout the tournament.
Among the standout performers was Mayan Jha of Loyola School, Bistupur, who secured the Silver Medal and second rank in the Under-19 Boys’ category. Rounak Prajapati of Loyola School, Telco, also put up an excellent performance to claim the Bronze Medal and third rank. Their achievements placed them among the tournament’s top performers and highlighted the growing strength of Loyola schools in competitive chess.
Rounak’s impressive finish has also earned him qualification for the CISCE Regional Chess Tournament, which will be held at the International School, Patna. He will represent the zone and compete against some of the best young chess talents from across the region.
The Principal, teachers and students of Loyola School, Telco congratulated Rounak and all the participants for their success and wished them the very best for future competitions.
