Jamshedpur: Loyola School Junior Section organised an informative and interactive awareness session titled “Menstrupedia” for girl students of Classes IV and V on May 7 at Arrupe Hall.
The programme aimed to educate young students about menstruation, adolescent bodily changes, and healthy ways to navigate this important phase of life with confidence and responsibility.
Principal Graces the Programme
The session was attended by Principal Fr. Vinod Fernandes SJ, whose presence encouraged students to participate openly in the discussion.
The event began with a welcome address by Junior School Vice Principal Vineeta F. Ekka, who motivated the students to ask questions freely and clear their doubts without hesitation.

Experts Discuss Puberty, Hygiene and Self-Care
Resource persons Nikita Mehta and Rachana Nair conducted the session with sensitivity and clarity. They explained the concept of menstruation, physical and emotional changes during puberty, and the importance of maintaining hygiene and practising self-care.
The speakers created a safe and supportive atmosphere that encouraged open dialogue among the students.
Interactive Session Encourages Student Participation
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students confidently shared their queries and concerns regarding adolescence and menstrual health.
The event ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Junior School Coordinator Patricia Rebello.
