Jamshedpur, December 3: Rajani Kumari, Senior Chemistry Teacher at Loyola School, Bistupur, was selected to attend the prestigious Chemistry Olympiad Teachers’ Exposure Camp held at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, from 25 to 28 November 2025.
She was among only 40 teachers shortlisted from across the country to participate in the national-level programme and represent the state of Jharkhand. The selection was based on a rigorous application process conducted by HBCSE, which plays a key role in promoting excellence in science education and coordinating India’s participation in international science Olympiads.
The four-day camp provided participants with deep exposure to Olympiad-level Chemistry through innovative teaching methodologies, expert-led technical sessions, advanced problem-solving strategies, and hands-on laboratory modules designed to strengthen conceptual understanding.
Speaking about her experience, Rajani Kumari said that the training was highly enriching and has broadened her perspective on effective science pedagogy. She expressed enthusiasm for sharing the valuable insights gained during the programme with her students and colleagues at Loyola School in order to enhance the teaching-learning process and inspire young learners to excel in competitive academic platforms.
The school administration has congratulated her on this achievement, describing it as a proud moment for the institution and a significant step toward strengthening science education in the region.
