Loyola School Jamshedpur gets NCC unit

Jamshedpur, April 4: Loyola School marked a significant milestone on April 4 with the NCC Raising Ceremony, adding another feather to its cap. The event was held with great enthusiasm, reinforcing the National Cadet Corps’ role in shaping future leaders.

The ceremony was graced by Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Commanding Officer of the Indian Army, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included ADM Col. Prem Chandra Jha, Subedar Major Ravin Khandal, and three officers. The event commenced with the soul-stirring NCC official song, setting an inspiring tone.

Fr. Vinod Fernandes, S.J., Principal, Loyola School, welcomed Col. Ahuja, who was then felicitated by Fr. K.M. Joseph, S.J., Rector. Vice-Principal Jayanthi Sheshadri presented a memento to Col. Ahuja as a token of appreciation. Loyola student Kripa Bhatia spoke about the significance of NCC, followed by a presentation by GCI Ruchita Gautam.

The highlight of the event was the official opening of the NCC unit at Loyola School, declared by the Chief Guest. In his motivational speech, Col. Ahuja encouraged students to actively participate in NCC activities, fostering leadership and discipline. Fr. Fernandes also shared insightful words on the occasion.

The ceremony also featured the inauguration of the NCC Office and the unveiling of the NCC Board near Gate No. 1.

This event marks the beginning of a new era of unity, discipline, leadership, and patriotism for Loyola students, promising a lasting impact on their holistic development.
