Loyola School clinches double crown at 41st JYOTI Basketball Tournament

 

Jamshedpur, Nov 7: Loyola School, Bistupur, emerged as the double champion at the 41st JYOTI Basketball Tournament 2025, winning both the Plus Two Boys and Plus Two Girls categories.

The annual inter-school tournament, organised by the Jamshedpur Youth Organisation for Tomorrow’s India (JYOTI), celebrated sportsmanship, teamwork, and youthful energy.

The closing ceremony was graced by Loyola alumnus and former JYOTI Champion, Gavin Dominic Xavier, who commended the players for their skill, discipline, and passion for the game.

In the results, St. Mary’s Bistupur won the High School Boys’ title, while RMS Khutadih triumphed in the High School Girls’ category. Mohammad Rehan of St. Mary’s, Yasaswi Sahu of RMS Kutadih, Parth Singh of Loyola, and Sharon D’Souza of Loyola were named Best Players in their respective divisions.

With over five decades of service, JYOTI continues to inspire young athletes, promoting values of teamwork, compassion, and excellence through sports.

The atmosphere was charged as trophies and individual awards were distributed. The list of winners and individual awardees is as follows:
