Jamshedpur, June 15: Three masked miscreants who had looted a Hyva (heavy vehicle) from Odisha and taking it to Anandpur had to abort their mission after the heavy vehicle was stuck in a mud near a diversion close to Rani pond on Tuesday.
After failing to drive out the vehicle which was stuck in the muck they left the vehicle and escaped.
Police reached the spot and started investigation and found the entire incident from the Hyva vehicle driver Sanatan Munda. The driver informed that he had parked the vehicle on Monday late night near Lohanipada Highway in Rourkela and three bike borne masked miscreants came near him and threatened him at the point of a pistol and asked him to drive the Hyva while two other miscreants kept following them on their bike.
The driver drove the Hyva from Rourkela to Bandamunda, Bisra, Mohipani and reached Jeraikela and reached Manoharpur-Ranchi Main Road but was asked to take the vehicle towards Anandpur when the vehicle got stuck in the mud. The police are trying to get the owner of the vehicle.
