Lok Samarpan organizes sit and draw to save environment

Jamshedpur: City-based NGO Lok Samarpan organized a sit and draw contest at Graduate College in Sakchi on Sunday with the view to make children aware of the need for environment conservation. As many as 479 children from KG to class XI participated in the competition organized under various categories.

Different topics related to the environment were given to the participants of different age groups. The programme was coordinated by Kalyani Kabir. Judges of the competition were Prashant Banerjee of Jharkhand Lok Kala Evam Sanskriti Vikas Parishad, Krishna Sharan Mahato, Shivlal Mahato, Samar ghosh, Uttam Malik and Swati Dey Malik. Five best paintings were chosen from every category.

Addressing the gathering, the outfit president Lalit Das said the winners would be felicitated on 5th June in Patel Nagar, Bhuiyandih, by the DC and SSP of Jamshedpur. He thanked all participants and guests for making the event successful.
