Ranchi, March 13: After the selection of the leader of the Jharkhand BJP Legislative Party, now everyone’s eyes are on the post of party’s state president.
Lobbying for this has also intensified within the party. From MPs to MLAs, everyone is involved in this race.
Many leaders involved in the race for the post of president have met central level leaders in Delhi and presented their claim.
The responsibility of the leader of the BJP Legislative Party has been given to a tribal leader. In such a situation, the post of state president can be given to a leader from OBC or SC community.
The names of many prominent leaders are being discussed for the post of state president in the party. The most prominent name among them is that of former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das. He re-joined the party on January 10 at the Jharkhand BJP state office in Ranchi, which has led to his return to active politics.
Apart from these, other potential contenders include Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu, Hazaribagh MP Manish Jaiswal, former state president Ravindra Rai, state vice-president Rakesh Prasad and Amar Kumar Bauri from the Dalit class.
BJP has the principle of one leader one post. In such a situation, it is certain that now some other leader will be given the command of the state president in place of Babulal Marandi.
At present, the process of organizational elections is going on in the state BJP. After Holi, the process of appointment of president at the Mandal level is to begin. After the completion of the organizational election process in 50 percent of the Mandals, the process of selection of the district president will be started. After this, the election of the state president will be held. In such a situation, it is believed that Jharkhand BJP will get a new state president by April.
