Little Flower School Girls, KPS Kadma Boys Shine at Zonal Taekwondo Trials

Jamshedpur, July 12: The Zonal Taekwondo Trials concluded at Little Flower School (LFS) with a powerful display of strength, discipline, and sportsmanship over two action-packed days, held on 11th and 12th July 2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 200 students representing 27 schools across the zone.

With the inspirational quote, “Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up,” the trials commenced in the presence of distinguished guests, respected educators, dedicated referees, and an energetic audience of parents and students. Taekwondo, known not only for its physical prowess but also for instilling values of respect and perseverance, was celebrated in full spirit throughout the trials.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Gopal Kumar, Kolhan incharge and selector, Vice President of the Jharkhand Taekwondo Association, and Technical Chairman of Jharkhand State. A 6th Dan Black Belt and recipient of the Grand Master Award 2022–23,  Kumar has played a key role in promoting Taekwondo across Jharkhand. A token of appreciation was presented to him for his unwavering dedication to the sport.

The success of the event was ensured by a team of experienced officials and referees, including Chief Referee Rakesh Rana, Tournament Director Subash Prasad, Joint Tournament Director  Akash Das, and others who maintained discipline and fairness throughout the trials.

In the team championship results, KPS Kadma emerged as a standout performer, winning the Under-14 Boys and Under-19 Boys categories. Little Flower School dominated the Under-14 Girls and Under-19 Girls events, while in the Under-17 category, Little Flower School took the Boys’ title and Hill Top School claimed the Girls’ championship.

The event concluded with cheers and a strong sense of achievement. All participants, winners and otherwise, walked away enriched with experience, determination, and renewed motivation to strive for excellence in the sport.
