Jamshedpur : The students of Little Flower School felicitated the Sisters on the Feast Day of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, the Foundress of the Cluny Congregation.
The students showed their love and gratitude to the Sisters, through flowers and cards and a short cultural programme in the School Auditorium. The school has declared a holiday on July 15 in commemoration of the feast.
Anne Marie Javouhey was born in the commune of Jallanges, the fifth of ten children of a local wealthy farm couple, Balthazar and Claudine Javouhey.
She founded the congregation to educate children and to help reduce the miseries which arose out of the French Revolution.
The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny, of different races, nations, languages and cultures, united in the same fidelity to the Will of God, strive to help others to realize the fullness of their being, through education, pastoral work, health, promotion of the human person.
