Liquor shops to remain closed in Jamshedpur on November 23, entry of gadgets banned 

Jamshedpur: The District Election Officer, Ananya Mittal, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal, conducted a detailed briefing for magistrates and police officials at the Cooperative College campus in preparation for the upcoming counting day for the Assembly Elections.

During the session, clear instructions were issued to ensure a secure and smooth counting process. Officials were directed to strictly prohibit the entry of any individual into the counting hall without valid entry passes. Items such as mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or flammable materials will not be allowed under any circumstances. It was also emphasized that crowding at the venue should be avoided, and only authorized personnel with valid passes should be granted entry.

The District Election Officer stressed the importance of teamwork among officials to ensure impartial and peaceful counting. He instructed all personnel to report to their designated locations on time and work cohesively to maintain law and order throughout the process. Confidentiality during the counting period was highlighted, with a complete ban on photography or video recording of EVM displays.

The Civil Surgeon was instructed to deploy medical camps, teams, and ambulances at the venue from 5:00 AM on November 23, 2024. The Fire Officer was directed to station fire engines and response teams on-site. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise was tasked with ensuring the closure of all liquor shops on the counting day as per the orders.

The Senior Superintendent of Police assured robust security arrangements. All officials were directed to remain on high alert, with riot control teams, Vajra vehicles, body protectors, helmets, batons, and QRTs (Quick Response Teams) deployed to handle any emergencies. Station in-charges were instructed to conduct intensive patrolling in their jurisdictions and ensure law and order is maintained.
