Linde India Jamshedpur employees to receive salary hike, enhanced benefits

Jamshedpur. Sep 1: A new salary agreement has been reached between Linde India and the Indian Oxygen Workers Union, with significant increases in employee compensation and benefits. The agreement, signed in the presence of Jamshedpur DLC Rajesh Prasad, covers a period of 3.5 years.

Under the agreement, employees will see an increase of Rs 5,800 in their monthly gross salary, along with two hikes in basic pay. The leave travel allowance has been raised from Rs 21,000 to Rs 27,000. In the event of death during service, employees’ families will receive compensation equivalent to 48 months of gratuity pay.

Retirement benefits have been increased from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 per year of full service. The company will also enhance mediclaim coverage to Rs 3,00,000 for employees, their spouses, and two children. Surviving mothers of employees will receive unlimited medical coverage, and domestic mediclaim coverage of Rs 15,000 has been introduced.

The agreement includes a provision for Rs 45,000 annually for mediclaim policies for retired employees. Union President Rakeshwar Pandey emphasized the importance of investing in the workforce for the organization’s continued success. The agreement was signed by key figures from both Linde India and the union, including VP Guru PD Manna and General Secretary Vishwa Mitra Dubey.
