Lightning strike kills four-year-old girl in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 15: A four-year-old Anamika Sabar, daughter of Babulal Sabar, lost her life after being struck by lightning in Lupungdih, located in the Birsanagar police station area on Tuesday evening. Anamika, a first-grade student at the village school, had gone to the pond to bathe with her mother, Seema Sabar. At the time of the incident, there was no rain, but a sudden lightning strike caused Anamika to fall into the water and lose consciousness.

Babulal rushed to the scene upon receiving the news and found his daughter lying in the water. They quickly took her to MGM Hospital, but the doctors declared her dead upon arrival. Babulal, who has three sons and two daughters, is devastated by the loss. Anamika’s body has been placed in cold storage at the hospital, and a post-mortem is scheduled for Wednesday.
