Jamshedpur, October 19: Senior Congress leader and Jugsalai resident Ramnath Prasad passed away on Wednesday morning. His last rites were performed at Parvati Ghat in presence of large number of congress workers.
At the Tilak Pustakalay in Bistupur, East Singhbhum district congress committee headed by district president Vijay Khan held a condolence meet.
On the other hand, Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Yuva Congress Committee headed by its vice-president Rakesh Sahu held a condolence meet for deceased Ramnath Prasad at Shaheed Chowk in Sakchi.
Present on the occasion the congress workers observed two minute silence for the peace of the departed soul. At the condolence meet Ajay Singh, Sanjeev Srivastava, Ravindra Jha, Anand Bihari Dubey said that Ramnath was one of the most senior and a true congressman.
They further said,Ramnath dedicated his whole life to the congress party. He was running ill for quite some time and his demise has left a big void in the district congress.
Also present were Rakesh Sahoo, Sumanto Da, Sunil Prasad, Jyoti Mishra, Shibu Singh, Kamlesh Sao, Rohit Sharma, Mukesh Yadav, Manoj Sao and others were present.
