Jamshedpur, Aug 8: LBSM College in Karandih is set to launch a new initiative to prepare its undergraduate students for premier management entrance exams like CAT, MAT and XAT. Principal Dr. Ashok Kumar Jha said the move is aimed at enhancing career prospects for students after graduation.

“Until now, we have been providing NET preparation in various subjects. Now we will extend specialised coaching for management exams,” Dr. Jha explained. Two faculty members, Dr. Vijay Prakash and Prof. Purushottam Prasad, will lead the programme, shortlisting 70 interested students this month. Fifty will be selected for intensive training during their fifth and sixth semesters.

A special teaching team will be formed and guest lectures will be arranged from professors and alumni of reputed institutes like XLRI and IIM. “This will open new opportunities for our students to pursue higher education in top management institutions,” Dr. Jha said. The programme is expected to start by the end of the month.
