Ranchi, Oct. 23: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that law is impartial to everyone whether it be the police personnel or the common people.

Everybody should abide by the law. He said that one should wear helmet and inspire others to wear it too.

Directing the police personnel, Das said that those who do not wear helmet, tie seat belt or abide by traffic rules should be prosecuted. Without making it a point of ego or fashion, one should wear helmet and tie seat belt.

He said so while addressing the Helmet Week program organized by the district traffic police at the Morabadi ground.

The CM said that any campaign could be made successful only when it was coupled with peoples participation.

Directing the traffic police, he said that more and more people should be made aware about it. After Chhath, the traffic awareness campaign will be run strictly. As a state, we have to make our image as law abiding people, he said.

The CM further stressed the need for all citizens to be very careful and watchful about persons misguiding people.

The government is committed to maintain law and order and nobody is beyond the purview of law, he said.

Helmets were distributed among people during the programme. MLA Jeetu Charan Ram, DGP DK Pandey, the DC and SP of Ranchi and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
