Little Flower School wins laurels at Langwiz Quiz

Jamshedpur, Oct. 23:Headword Publishing Company organised Langwiz, the Language and Vocabulary Show, at Little Flower School, Telco.

This was a quiz competition based on the English Language. The quizmaster was Barry O’Brien from Kolkata. There were a total of 38 teams out of which 7 were from Dhanbad, Ranchi and Bokaro. The inter-state program featured a preliminary round which helped the quizmaster shortlist 6 teams for the finals on stage. Off the six teams four were from Jamshedpur.

The six teams who qualified included Sarla Birla Public School, Ranchi; Delhi Public School, Ranchi; Kerala Samajam Model School, Jamshedpur; Loyola School, Jamshedpur; Motilal Nehru Public School, Jamshedpur and Little Flower School (LFS), Jamshedpur.

Little Flower School emerged victorious of the quiz contest by almost 100 points while second and third places were secured by Sarla Birla Public School (Ranchi) and Delhi Public School (Ranchi) respectively.

There were 6 rounds in the quiz some of which were Connect, Crossword Clue, Correct the Sentence and Colourful World of Words.The quiz contest was organised for students of class 6, 7 and 8. At the end of the quiz Principal of Little Flower School, Sister Hilda D�Souza handed over the prizes to the winners.

Significantly, the previous edition of the Langwiz quiz was hosted by DPS Ranchi in the year 2015 where the team from Little Flower School had won the competition which makes it two in row for LFS Jamshedpur.

At the competition three students were part of each team. The winner team received books, trophy and certificates worth Rs9500; runners-up got books worth Rs 7500 while the third place team received books worth Rs 3500.
