Chandil, May 29: Several land owners staged a demonstration before Jamna Auto company in Karnidih under Chandil block in Seraikela-Kharsawan demanding employment here on Sunday. They blocked the main gate of the company from 6 am till 9 am.
AJSU central committee secretary Harelal Mahato reached the company and lent support to the protestors. He alleged that the company was keeping outsiders on jobs and demanded a change in the HR policy of the company.
Meanwhile, the company officials denied the charges and claimed that 90 per cent of their employees were local residents. They said more jobs would be provided to local people as per requirement.
The company officials agreed to provide jobs to two land owners for the time being and give more jobs to others in the coming days.
