Jamshedpur, May 23: A high-level delegation of Laghu Udyog Bharati met Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss key issues concerning the micro and small enterprises (MSE) sector.
The delegation was led by Prakash Chand, All India Organization Secretary, along with Shri Om Prakash Gupta (All India General Secretary), Shri Naresh Parik (All India Secretary), and CA Mahesh Gupta (All India Co-Treasurer).
During the meeting, the team presented detailed insights into the challenges faced by small-scale industries, suggested practical solutions, and proposed policy-level reforms to support the sector. Minister Sitharaman acknowledged the organization’s efforts and assured prompt consideration of the suggestions. She also issued immediate directives to relevant officials to examine and act on the proposals.
The discussion also highlighted Laghu Udyog Bharati’s ongoing initiatives, including employment generation for approximately 15,000 women in Pali (Rajasthan), and development efforts under the Udyog Nagar and Madipur Adarsh Clusters in Delhi.
The meeting marked a significant step in the organization’s continued engagement with policymakers and reinforced its commitment to strengthening India’s MSME sector.
