Ranchi, May 23: Action will be taken in the case of suspicious death of Meraj Ansari in Palajori police station lockup of Deoghar. Guilty policemen will have to go to jail.
Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari said these and also reiterated that police cannot torture anyone in the name of cybercrime.
He said that Meraj Ansari will get justice and the responsible officers will be sent behind bars.
The minister said that in the name of cyber crime some police officers unnecessarily pick up innocent people and conduct third degree measures.
“Such an incident had also come to light in Jamtara, on which he had taken immediate strict action. The same thing has started happening in other districts as well,” said the minister. .
Dr Ansari further said that even if someone has committed a crime, there should be investigation and interrogation under the law, not torture and murder. The government will not tolerate such inhuman acts at any cost
