Jamshedpur MP meets Union Railway Minister in Delhi

Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in New Delhi on Wednesday and put forth various demands related to Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency before him. He was informed by the Railway Minister that an order for giving a stoppage to Kurla Express at Chakulia railway station had been issued. The MP thanked the Minister for the step taken by the Railways.

According to the MP, the Railway Minister assured him to start work on the Kandra-Namkum railway line once again. The Minister further informed Mahato that the work of Chakulia-Budhamara railway line had been completed in Odisha and some remaining portion of the work pending in in Jharkhand would soon be started. Regarding additional trains for Bengaluru, the Railway Minister said there was high traffic pressure on Bengaluru railway line and that he would still explore possibilities in this direction.

Mahato thanked Vaishnav for starting train service for Bhagalpur and said the demand for direct train service for Jaipur and Jainagar was still pending. He said that as per the Railway Minister, work on the proposed Tata-Buxar train service was being done on top priority basis. He said the Tata-Allepey train service should be resumed on a daily basis or at least five days a week. He said he had also demanded doubling of Tata-Badampahar railway line and its expansion till Keonjhar. He said the Railway Minister had assured to ponder over the demands.
