Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Tatanagar Rail Police arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a 27 year-old man in Chakradharpur.
Those arrested were identified as Jyoti Surisun, her husband Satyapal Surisun and Jyoti’s brother-in-law Teklal Nayak.
According to Rail SP Rishabh Jha, “The accused persons had allegedly strangulated Baidya Lochan Pradhan alias Pintu with the help of a nylon rope at Jyoti’s house in Chakradharpur on the evening of 15th October and later dumped his body on the railway tracks near Chakradharpur railway station to make it look like a case of suicide or accident.”
The SP said Jyoti was in an illicit relationship with Lochan Pradhan. Jyoti’s husband and brother were against this relationship. Jyoti had called the victim to her house as per plan and killed him under a conspiracy, said the SP.
After killing the victim, the accused persons carried his body to the railway tracks on a scooty and dumped it there. Cops have seized the scooty, a black double layered plastic, nylon rope and mobile phones of the accused persons, said the SP.
