KSMS conducts spoken English classes for Mothers

Jamshedpur, June 29: The Care & Share club of Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Sakchi has taken the initiative to organize and conduct Spoken English Classes for the mothers of L.Kg students.

The project is a students initiative managed entirely by the students under the aegis of Rajeshwar Rao an expert in motivation and personality development. This is a fact that students who come from English-speaking background are able to learn and write and communicate in English faster and perform better in academics.

This was complimented by a substantial demand on behalf of the mothers as well. It was commendable step taken by 91 mothers to take out time from their busy schedule for the future of their children after the Principal, Ms. Nandini Shukla, announced it in the Orientation meeting for the L.kg. parents. 40 mothers have been selected in the first batch. The objective is to bring out their confidence and enhance their communication skills and their interaction with their child.

The classes were formally inaugurated on 28th June 2017, by K P G Nair, President and Trustee-in-charge who said there is no age limit to learning. Ms. Nandini Shukla welcomed the students and gave a proposal to the mothers present to take substitution in primary classes.

Vice-Principal, Ms. Rajan Kaur shared an inspiring story of Newtons hunger to learn till his death. Teacher-Moderators and the members of the club were introduced.

The Care & Share Club was initiated at KSMS in 2017 to reduce bullying in the campus. Its initiative of Care & Share wall was recognized by Tata Education Excellence Progam as an innovative method of spread the feeling of caring and sharing.
