KPS Kadma students spread message to save environment

Jamshedpur, Feb 7: The Pre Primary Segment of Kerala Public School Kadma celebrated Seed Day in the school premises on Thursday, February 6 with the objective of saving and protecting mother earth. This event was the culmination of the project taken up by the school under the International School Awards.

School Director Sharat Chandran, Assistant Director and Founder Principal Shanta Vaidyanathan, Academic Director Lakshmi Sharat, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Co-coordinator Alamelu Ravishankar, Chief Guest Balasubramanium Krishnan and other dignitaries were present.

The gathering was welcomed with an address by the Principal of the school Sharmila Mukherjee. She explained all the activities that were taken up under this project by the students of the pre-primary segment. A beautiful song followed by a mesmerizing, powerful and alluring dance and drama with the message of �Save Mother Earth� was put up by the students of UKG. A lovely poem in Hindi with a message was delivered by the students. The programme was appreciated by all the dignitaries present there.

To reinforce the understanding of basic lifecycle of plants, germination activity was conducted by all the students of Nursery to Std.V. The children were asked to make small pots and they were also informed about the seeds.

The guests and the dignitaries present planted the seeds in the pot and supported the cause and the noble spirit of “Going Green”.

Activity Coordinator Alamelu Ravishankar assembled the vote of thanks while acknowledging the students and teachers of UKG for making this programme a grand success.
