KPS Kadma ‘recreates’ horrors of Jallianwala Bagh massacre on Independence Day

Jamshedpur, August 16: Kerala Public School Kadma reverberated with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm as it celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day in a spirited event. The commemoration witnessed the full participation of the school’s Principal, Headmistress, coordinators, teachers, and students.

The distinguished chief guest for the occasion was Gaurav Anand, an Environmental Engineer with a remarkable 15-year tenure at Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited. Amidst the resonant rendition of the national anthem by the school choir, Gaurav Anand unfurled the national flag.

The event was a showcase of young talent as high school students and teachers bore witness to a series of thoughtfully curated presentations by the students. Aarushi Ojha of Std.12 delivered a fiery and impassioned speech that captivated the audience. Devanshi Singh of Std. 5 presented a thought-provoking and heartrending speech, while Priya Kar, also from class 5, portrayed the valiant persona of warrior Queen Rani Lakshmi Bai in an inspiring oration.

The program continued with the school choir delivering a stirring rendition of a patriotic song, accompanied by a colorful and precise group dance by the school’s dance troupe, all commemorating the occasion. An impactful enactment of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre added solemnity to the patriotic atmosphere.

Divyanshu Tiwari, a student of the Hindi Project school, delivered a motivational speech in Hindi, followed by an equally vibrant dance performance. A melodious flute recital by Pragati Pattanaik further enriched the event.

Gaurav Anand’s address resonated with the significance of remembering the contributions of freedom fighters, encouraging the students to take pride in their nation and contribute to its elevation. He stressed the importance of embracing technological advancements such as AI, blockchain, and the internet of things, urging the students to strive for India’s global supremacy. Environmental responsibility was also emphasized, underscoring the imperative to safeguard the environment for future generations.
