KPS Kadma shines at inter-school debate, wins Best Speaker award

Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Chapter of the Patna Women’s College Alumni Association organized an inter-school debate competition at Vivekananda International School, Mango, bringing together talented student speakers from across the city.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Nidhi Srivastava, while the arrangements were efficiently managed by the host school team led by coordinator Shahnawaz Khan. The programme was anchored by Anand Ruby Sinha.

Participating schools included DBMS High School (Coordinator: Maria Afsar), Kerala Public School Kadma (Coordinator: Chandrima Bandyopadhyay), Rajendra Vidyalaya (Coordinator: Fauzia Rana), Valley View School (Coordinator: Sanjay Vishwakarma), and Vivekananda International School.

Each school sent two participants—one speaking for the motion and one against it. The competition was judged by a panel comprising Agnes Boyle, Kanchan Singh and Manju Singh.

Kerala Public School, Kadma secured the first position, followed by Rajendra Vidyalaya in second place and DBMS High School in third. The Best Speaker Award was won by Pallavi Mahanty of Kerala Public School, Kadma for her outstanding performance.

The event was formally introduced by Secretary Poonam Mahta, who also welcomed the guests and briefed the topic of the debate. President Vidya Tiwari highlighted the association’s activities, while Dr. Nidhi Srivastava delivered the vote of thanks.

Prominent attendees included Asha Sinha, Chhaya Prasad, Dr. Bharti, Shilpi Sinha, along with several teachers and dignitaries from participating schools.
