Jamshedpur: Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma oragnised the ‘Annual Youth Festival’ with pomp and show in the school premises on Wednesday.
The theme of the event was Dance for Water�Dance for the Fish�Dance For You� The fest commenced with a prayer song. A welcome song was put up by the students of Kerala Public School, Kadma.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sharat Chandran, Director, KPS Schools who lit the devotional lamp.
The day witnessed a number of On-Stage events like Group Dances, Group Songs both Eastern and Western, Quiz, Extempore, Ice Age and Thaw, Stand Up Comedy, Play, etc., as well as Off- Stage events like Collage, Rangoli, Hair Styling, Website Designing, Origami, Elocution and many more.
40 such events were held during the day long festival in which the students showcased their talents.
Principal of the school, Sharmila Mukherjee said, students participate in various events round the year which gets culminated in the Annual Youth Festival.
250 children were awarded for their extraordinary performances in various events. The children represented their respective houses which are Valour, Wisdom, Peace and Prosperity.
The day came to a close with the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The Overall Champions Trophy was bagged by Prosperity (Green) House with 284 points and the Runners Up Team was Peace (Blue) House with 265 points. The winning team as well as the runners up team was felicitated with Rolling Trophies by the principal. The teachers and students worked with great zeal and Endeavour to make this programme a grand success.
