Jamshedpur, April 6: Kerala Public School Kadma celebrated NCC Raising Day with great enthusiasm, highlighting the values of discipline, leadership, and national service among students.
Principal Sharmila Mukherjee addressed the gathering and emphasized the role of NCC in shaping responsible and confident citizens.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Commanding Officer of 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC, Subedar Major Ravin Khandal, along with school coordinators and NCC officials.
The programme highlighted the journey of the school’s NCC unit, established in 2014, which has maintained a 100 percent success rate. Cadets have actively participated in prestigious camps, including the Republic Day Camp.

Activities also showcased NCC camps, social service initiatives, and community development programmes that promote teamwork and leadership. Colonel Ahuja inspired cadets to uphold NCC values and strive for excellence.
The celebration concluded with the NCC song, leaving students with a strong sense of pride and unity.
NCC Raising Day marks the establishment of the National Cadet Corps and celebrates its legacy. It promotes discipline, leadership, and patriotism among students while recognising cadets’ achievements. Notably, the NCC unit has grown from a half troop of 50 cadets to a full troop of 100 cadets, reflecting its rising popularity and impact.
