Kolkata: It was a breathtaking moment for Kolkatans, when nearly 30 beautiful women vrooming on their mean machines — Royal Enfield  bikes passed through the streets of Salt Lake Sector 5 to head towards their destiny near Kolaghat on Women’s Day celebrated on March 8.

Babli Guha, a senior teacher by profession, who has a passion for biking said, “I come from an Army background and always wanted to stand out in the crowd. From my very early days, I have loved riding two wheelers and driving cars.”

Babli, who loves to take part in fashion shows too and won a number of crowns, said, “Mid of last year, I purchased a Royal enfield bike to fulfil my dreams of being a super biker.”

She added, “In the past few months, I have undertaken many long distance road trips on bike, which include ones to Digha and Mandarmani. My longest road trip was to Purulia.”

Babli, who loves to sweat in the gym, said, “I want more girls to take up this passion of bike riding, which not only gives you thrill but a lot of confidence. During trips you have to face so many different kinds of situations, which make you tough as a woman. I want to undertake longer road trips on my bike in the coming days.”

She said, “It is a myth that women can’t ke good bike riders, including Royal Enfield. It is very easy to ride this bike. Mental strength is more important than physical strength.”
