Kolhan University syndicate meeting: Approval for Ph.D in regional languages

Jamshedpur: Kolhan University conducted its 55th  syndicate meeting on its Chaibasa premises. Senate member Amitabh Senapati proposed to start Ph.D and M. Phil in regional languages too.  The proposal was immediately approved by the Governing body. Senapati said that the move will help promote research in regional languages and also pave way for opportunities for in the tribal languages.  

The meeting was presided over by vice-chancellor Gangadhar Panda and other syndicate members. Senapati also gave a proposal to increase the pay scale of teaching and non-teaching staff of B.Ed college by 20 per cent. The member also raised several welfare steps that need to be taken for betterment of the university.
