Jamshedpur: Kolhan University demonstrated administrative efficiency by completing all retirement formalities for Assistant Professor Dr. S.N. Thakur on his final working day. By finalizing these procedures instantly, the university set a new standard for institutional efficiency in the region.
The Department of Postgraduate Political Science hosted a dignified farewell ceremony to honor Dr. Thakur, who retired after 42 years of distinguished academic service. Throughout his decades-long career at Jamshedpur Co-operative College and the university’s Political Science department, Dr. Thakur earned deep respect as a dedicated mentor who shaped the lives of countless students.
Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta, the university ensured a seamless transition by disbursing all due benefits to Dr. Thakur on his last day. These payments included his pension, gratuity, earned leave encashment, group insurance, and the full provident fund amount.
During the event, the Head of the Department of Political Science noted that this initiative reflects the university’s commitment to its faculty, ensuring teachers receive their entitlements and respect without delay.
Colleagues shared heartfelt stories of Dr. Thakur’s discipline and dedication, describing him as an inspiring figure for future generations. To conclude the ceremony, the university fraternity presented Dr. Thakur with a memento and an angavastram while extending their best wishes for his future.
