Jamshedpur, Aug 20: The Kolhan Police Duty Meet 2025-26 was inaugurated on Wednesday at the multipurpose hall of Bistupur Police Station. The event was launched digitally by Kolhan Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Anuranjan Kispotta (IPS) in the presence of senior officials including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jamshedpur, the Superintendent of Police (Rural), the Superintendent of Police (City) and Deputy Superintendents of Police (Law & Order, Traffic and CCR).

The meet will feature six categories with ten types of competitions designed to enhance police efficiency and modern skills. Events include scientific support in investigation, police photography, computer awareness, videography, anti-sabotage checks and operations involving the police dog squad.

Highlighting the significance of the program, DIG Kispotta said, “These competitions are not just contests, but opportunities for our force to sharpen professional skills and strengthen modern policing practices.”

Participation has been confirmed from across Kolhan districts. Jamshedpur district is represented by 10 officers, 2 constables and 3 dog squads. Chaibasa district has sent 14 officers, 2 constables and 1 dog squad, while Seraikela-Kharsawan district is participating with 8 officers and 4 constables.

The duty meet is expected to foster camaraderie among the force while encouraging the development of technical and field skills essential for effective policing in present-day challenges.
