Burglars strike four houses in Jamshedpur, loot property worth Rs 50 Lakh

Jamshedpur, Aug 20: A major burglary shocked residents of Gadra in Parsudih police station area on Tuesday night when thieves targeted four houses in a single night, escaping with gold, silver ornaments and cash worth nearly Rs 50 lakh.

According to police, the families were away attending a function when burglars broke into their locked homes, forcing open cupboards and looting valuables, including Rs 5 lakh in cash. The families suspect local involvement, saying the precision of the break-ins suggests prior knowledge.

Police teams rushed to the spot and have begun investigations. Officers said that surveillance in the area has been tightened and suspects are being closely monitored.

The large-scale burglary has created panic in the locality. Residents expressed anger over the recurring thefts and demanded stronger patrolling, especially in vulnerable neighborhoods. One local resident remarked, “Such incidents shake our trust in safety. We need more police presence to deter criminals.”

Authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to nab the culprits and recover the stolen valuables
