Koderma RPF seize 70 IMFL bottles from passenger

Koderma, June 2 : Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Koderma rail station nabbed a passenger late n Wednesday night as he alighted from the Jan Shatabdi Express on Platform 4 with three bags and started moving towards the far end of the platform. The RPF team, led by Inspector-in-charge, Jawahar Lal intercepted the man and on interrogation, he revealed his name as Pankaj Kumar, the 24 year old son of Vinod Kumar and a resident of Nagarnausa under Daniyawa police station in Patna district. On checking his bags, the RPF team found 70 IMFL liquor bottles that included 58 bottles of Blenders’ Pride (375 ml each) and 12 of Royal Challenge (750 ml each). When the 24 year old Pankaj Kumar was further questioned, he said that the liquor consignments were secretly taken to Patna and sold at a higher price.

RPF Koderma Inspector In-charge, Jawahar Lal said that the estimated cost of the liquor seized and confiscated was approximately Rs 39, 040. The liquor-runner was arrested on the spot and the seized liquor bottles have been handed over to the Excise Department in Koderma.

Jawahar Lal further informed that CBI team from Dhanbad led by Inspector Shahid Khan has been keeping a close watch on criminal activities.
