Jamshedpur, June 2: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has launched on a campaign for sanitizing the city including cleaning of small and big drains. The work is going on at a brisk pace as per instruction of JNAC Special Officer, Krishna Kumar.
Drain cleaning and garbage collection from various city points are being conducted under supervision of City Managers. JCBs have been pressed into service for garbage removal. Garbage removal and cleaning of drains are being conducted at various places including Carriage Colony, Nirmal Nagar, Bage Basti, Makar Ghat, Laxmi Nagar, JEMCO and other localities.
On the other hand, Tata Steel UISL has been conducting sanitization and has cleaned wide drains at Shastri Nagar Block 1, Slag Road in Sitaramdera, CH Area, Janki Bhawan, Bhalubasa, Ramdas Bhatta and other localities.
The JNAC cleaning teams removed roadside garbage with the help of JCB in New Cable Town and Ramadin Bagan area. A total of 13 big and three small drains were cleaned. The sanitary work was inspected by the Sanitary Inspector and the City Manager.
