Kisan Loan Mela sees 25 new applications

 

Jamshedpur: A Block Level Bankers Coordination (BLBC) meeting and Kisan Loan Mela were successfully organized at the Gudabanda Block Auditorium. The meeting, convened under the chairmanship of SDO Ghatsila  Sunil Chandra, focused on financial inclusion, the implementation of government loan schemes, and the progress of loan distribution, ensuring cooperation for local development.

During the event, the Lead District Manager highlighted the need for improved banking services in Gudabanda, a backward block, to enhance financial accessibility for farmers and villagers. The meeting was attended by the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Gudabanda and other officials, emphasizing the necessity of streamlining financial assistance to support agricultural activities.

A significant highlight of the event was the distribution of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan sanction letters. Out of the 30-35 villagers present, five farmers received their loan sanction letters, while 25 new KCC applications were submitted. The bank branch manager, Mr. Rajesh Mardi, was instructed to expedite the processing of pending loan applications to ensure timely financial support for farmers.
