‘Kironotsav’ on women empowerment launched in Upgraded Tangerine Middle

Jamshedpur, June 9: A one-day workshop and training on women empowerment, ‘Kironotsav’ was launched from the Tangerine Upgraded Middle School under Potka Block of East Singhbhum district.

The guests were welcome with traditional tribal music and dance. Social worker Ujjwal Kumar Mandal, on behalf of the school fraternity presented saplings to the guests.

Shekhar Dey, proprietor of Sreeleathers, said at the event, “Women have to be educated and made self reliant and only then can they be socio-economically safe and secure.”

Prasun Upadhyay, while explaining the aim behind the concept of ‘Kironotsav,’ a women empowerment programme, informed that 15 school in remote locations of East Singhbhum District had been selected for the project where women members of these institutions would be trained in various skills that would provide them earning avenues for financial security. The programme was launched at the Tangrine Upgraded Middle School. School Principal Arvind Kumar Tiwari provided a report on the activities being carried out in the school.
