Governor, Chief Minister to pay tribute to Kharsawan firing martyrs on anniversary
Kharsawan: As the anniversary of the Kharsawan firing incident in Jharkhand approaches on January 1, 2024, preparations have been completed for paying tribute to the brave martyrs. Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and Union Minister Arjun Munda, among others, will participate in the commemoration at Kharsawan Shaheed Park.
To initiate the tribute, Governor CP Radhakrishnan will reach Kharsawan Shaheed Park by road around 10.30 am on January 1. He will first worship at the martyr’s site and then pay homage at Shaheed Bedi. Union Agriculture and Tribal Welfare Minister Arjun Munda will also be present during this ceremony.
Additionally, Diuri Vijay Bodra will perform the first puja at the martyr’s site around 8 am on Monday. Subsequently, a series of tributes, ranging from general to special, will be offered. Union Minister Arjun Munda is scheduled to attend the puja organized at Shaheed Bedi at 8 am on Monday.
The occasion will also witness Governor CP Radhakrishnan’s participation in the Kisan Samagam, an agriculture fair cum training program organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of the Government of India at Gondpur ground in Kharsawan. The entire event is marked with strict security arrangements to ensure a solemn and secure tribute to the martyrs.
