Ranchi: In a significant development, Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha (BJMO) has declared its intent to participate in the upcoming elections in Jharkhand, vying for 7 Lok Sabha seats and targeting 35 to 40 Assembly seats. Tiwari highlighted the party’s extensive groundwork across 20 districts in Jharkhand, stating that they have consistently raised crucial public issues with the government and actively pursued resolutions. Under the guidance of the party’s patron MLA, Saryu Roy, BJMO operates on the mantra of “contact, problem, and solution,” ensuring a focused approach to address the needs of the people.
The party’s strategy involves fielding candidates associated with public welfare in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Tiwari outlined the regions where the party aims to establish a robust presence in the Lok Sabha elections, including Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, and Giridih.
BJMO has identified specific constituencies for the Assembly elections, allocating 8 seats in South Chhotanagpur division, 6 in North Chhotanagpur, 8 in Kolhan, 5 in Santhalpargana, and 8 in Palamu division. An election review is scheduled for the executive meeting in January, where district presidents and general secretaries will participate. Furthermore, booth-level meetings across divisions are planned for February, followed by district-level meetings, showcasing the party’s systematic and organized approach towards the electoral process.
