Jamshedpur, Sept 7: Jamshedpur Sarvajanin Puja Committee (Bengal Club), Sakchi Ambagan Ground, performed Khunti Puja to mark the beginning of its 53rd Durga Puja celebrations. This year, the pandal will showcase the culture of Jharkhand, and the idol will be decorated with traditional Dhakre. The idol is being crafted by artists from Kolkata.
The Puja will be inaugurated on Panchami, followed by a musical evening featuring singer Amit Ganguly. On Mahashashthi evening, a grand Yatra Pala titled “Ami Rajpather Rajkanya” will be presented by Kolkata’s Nandi Company.
Among those present were Committee Chairman Advocate Tapas Kumar Mitra, Chairman Parthasarathi Sen, General Secretary Debashish Naha, Executive President Anshuman Chaudhary, along with Samant Kumar, Vijay Biswas, Assistant Secretary BB Nandi, Tukai Bhattacharya, Rupam Bhattacharya, Sanjeev Ghosh, Subrata Biswas, Treasurer Arup Sen and Soumya Sen.
