DBMS College B.Ed. Trainees Mark World Literacy Day with Awareness Drive

Jamshedpur, Sept 8: To mark World Literacy Day, the NSS Unit–1 of D.B.M.S. College of Education organized a special awareness programme led by B.Ed. trainees.
As part of the initiative, students carried out door-to-door surveys in nearby localities to highlight the importance of literacy. They engaged with families, collected details about educational backgrounds, children’s school attendance, and adult literacy levels, while also encouraging them to recognize education as the first step towards self-reliance, equality, and social progress.


The campaign received appreciation from College Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita, Vice-Principal Dr. Monica Uppal, faculty, and staff for the students’ enthusiasm and social commitment.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita said, “Such initiatives are inspiring steps towards bringing about positive change in society.”
The programme reflected the commitment of DBMS students towards building awareness and contributing meaningfully to community development.
