Ranchi, March 7: In a key organisational programme held at the Jharkhand state office of the Janata Dal (United), Rajya Sabha MP Khiru Mahto was unanimously elected as the Jharkhand State President of the party.
The election was conducted in the presence of State Council members and district presidents under the guidance of the party’s state election officer Shravan Kumar.
During the programme, as part of the organisational election process, formal election certificates were distributed to all previously elected district and metropolitan presidents. On the occasion, Subodh Srivastava received the certificate as the District President of East Singhbhum, while Ajay Kumar was handed the certificate as the President of the Jamshedpur unit.
Leaders and party workers from East Singhbhum district and the Jamshedpur metropolitan unit congratulated the newly elected state president Khiru Mahto and honoured him with a shawl and bouquets as a mark of respect and appreciation.
Among those present on the occasion were Neeraj Singh, Veer Singh Devgam, Ganesh Nair, Bhaskar Mukhi, Manoranjan Mahto, Chandrashekhar Rao, Dinesh Kumar Singh and Lav Sardar, along with several other office bearers and party workers.
