Jamshedpur, Oct 23: On Sunday, a Kavi Sammelan was organized in the Ghagidih Central Jail complex. The Superintendent of Police, Jamshedpur was present as the chief guest in the program.
The Kavi Sammelan was presided by the Honorary General Secretary of Tulsi Bhavan, Prasenjit Tiwari while Kumar Sanjay anchored the programme. The Chief Guest in his address talked about imbibing change and striving to bring positive changes in life. “Mistakes are made by human beings. A person learns from his mistakes and tries to mend his ways, keeping clear of further mistakes.”
In his presidential speech, Prasenjit spoke on the important contributions of the youth in nation building. He said that the country whose youth were aware of their responsibilities and dedicated towards the nation, would one day emerge as world guru. The participating poets recited their compositions much to the joy of the audience. Jamshedpur’s noted satirist, Naveen Agarwal had the audience in splits with his sharp observations on people and events. Punam Mahanand’s rendition of her romantic composition was highly appreciated. During the vote of thanks, Jail Superintendent Narendra said that organizing such programs would definitely have a positive impact on the lives of prisoners.
