Jamshedpur, Oct 23: The Agrico Jagadhatri Puja Committee is completing its Golden Jubilee (50 years) this year. Jagadhatri Puja will be organized from November 1 to 6 near the Agrico Light Signal.
The above information was given by the chairman of the committee, Sunil Kumar Singh at press conference. He informed that on November 1 at 7 pm, the puja pandal will be inaugurated jointly by former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and social worker Bailey Bodhanwala.
Maha Saptami, Ashtami and Navami Puja will be organized from 9 am beginning November 2. He told that many members of the committee lived abroad for whom online worship and floral arrangements would be made. Painting competition will be organized for the children from 3 pm onwards and Bhog will be distributed from 7.30 pm onwards.
A musical programme will be presented by artistes from Kolkata on November 3 and 4. Prizes will be given to the winning participants of the drawing competition for children from 7 pm on November 5. The idol of Goddess Jagadhatri will be immersed on November 6 at 2 pm.
Committee chairman Y Anand Rao stated, “On the occasion of 100 years of Agrico Jagadhatri Puja Committee this year, a grand pandal is being constructed. Private security personnel and CCTV cameras will keep vigil at the pandal 24×7. On November 3, food items and bhog will be distributed among 300 poor people.”
Sunil Kumar Singh, Y Anand Rao, Jitendra Nath Mukherjee, Vishwanath Sarkar, Rupam Sengupta and other committee members were present at the press briefing.
